Cheaper than where. Canada?

Cheaper than where. Canada? Are you going to fly back and forth for all of your alterations fittings? how are you going to get the dress back home for the wedding? It will be professionally pressed by that point.

Make sure you check out what the sales tax is for the city you are going to. Chicago sales tax is over 10%.

Each city and each bridal salon can have their own prices. I really don know how you can find out what one particular dress costs in Calgary and in the US. Many salon web sites will not list prices

You should find a dress (from a designer, not like a knock off site or anything) online and call local salons for pricing, then call salons in the US city you would be traveling to that also carry the same designer and get prices. We are in Maine and we get a lot of people from NB because our bridesmaid dresses are usually $40$60 less and wedding dresses are usually a $200 difference. But, sales tax here is only 5%. It really depends on your city and the city you would travel to.

Use the store locator on the designer site to find which salons carry the dress. Prices in New York are usually double or triple for ANYTHING there. Their prices are NOT a reflection of what you would expect in 99% of US bridal stores. .
